Parvati Records Founder
I am Giuseppe, owner and DJ of Parvati Records, which I founded in Denmark in the year 2000. My story, and the story of my label over the past 15 years, is closely connected with Modem Festival. I have attended Modem every year since the very first edition in 2012, and each year the label has been strongly represented by several Parvati artists. One of the highlights of this shared journey was certainly the Parvati 15th Anniversary celebration at Modem 2015, with the festival lineup featuring 19 Parvati artists and the release of our anniversary V/A, XV. I have been part of the Stage Management group for many editions and i love contributing during the Festival at The Hive, helping to ensure that the musical program flows smoothly and without issues throughout the entire week.
Since the start of the Modem project, both myself and my label have followed, supported, and actively participated in the growth of the festival. This connection happened naturally and spontaneously, thanks to a shared set of values that we both hold and that allowed the synergy between Parvati and Modem to flourish in an organic and obvious way.
At the core of both Parvati Records, founded in 2000, and Modem Festival, founded in 2012, lies the same vision: to give a voice and a platform to underground music and culture, and to focus on quality in all aspects of our activities and productions.
Since its beginning, Modem Festival has been innovating and experimenting not only with music, but also with stage design, decor, and visuals, bringing new life to the scene and setting higher standards for all of us. This is only possible through hard, passionate work and total commitment, and throughout the years Modem Festival has never lacked any of these qualities.
For me personally, Modem Festival is a fixed appointment every summer. Each year, before arriving at the festival site, I feel the same excitement I felt the very first time I attended. The vibe, the atmosphere, and the gathering of people make this festival truly special. It is about the music, but not only that, at Modem, we all feel that dreams can come true, and we experience firsthand that our psytrance community and culture are alive and kicking.
Together with the entire Parvati Records family of producers and djs, I wish Modem a long life and we are looking forward to seeing you on the Modem Dancefloor next summer!
