Mo:Dem Festival all-rounder
I’m Jose from Costa Rica. As a DJ I go by Massern. My role at Mo:Dem is hard to define. As a permanent contributor, I stay on the Mo:Dem land all year long. I’m here to give my best and take on a range of tasks. I handle general inventory, including tools and equipment and help manage the production area i.e. our seasonal homebase for everyone involved.
My Mo:Dem journey started with playing music and that led me to pre-production connecting me to incredible people and the heart of the vision. My involvement is often behind the scenes, I am ensuring water systems stay clean, supporting everyone so the festival’s energy never fades.
Mo:Dem has transformed me. I have grown as an artist learning from amazing creators diving deeper into music and energy. Being part of this family drives me to grow and always aim for a better future for all of us in it, from crew to crowd. I’ll stay part of it as long as the path allows, with plenty ahead to build.
MoDem has been supported by labels and artists since the beginning and they must get their credit for their unconditional support which also relates to not giving up under pressure. At the same time I also consider MoDem is also opening spaces to new underground alternatives!
